House Manger - Sober Living Recovery Housing
dWELL Recovery is seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager, Tuesday - Saturday 4pm - 12am. to join our team and help build a high-quality, compassionate recovery housing program. This role is a cornerstone of our model, serving as the primary liaison between residents, families, staff, and the clinical team.
The ideal candidate is a calm, organized, and empathetic professional who excels at providing structure, coordination, and relational support in a recovery-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care & Case Management
- Oversee shift-based resident care duties, including Daily Reflections, wake-ups, evening and weekend programming, grocery shopping, and ADL support within resident apartments.
- Provide consistent, individualized case management throughout each resident’s stay and during transitions to aftercare.
- Meet weekly with residents to assess progress, address challenges, and support adherence to individualized skill-building goals.
- Coordinate all aspects of resident care to ensure alignment with clinical treatment plans and program expectations.
- Conduct regular phone check-ins with family members to provide updates and supportive guidance.
- Assist in supporting the clinical parent-coaching process.
- Maintain open, timely communication with team, clinical partners and treatment teams.
- Provide clear, accurate updates on resident progress and collaborate on treatment planning, transitions, and discharge strategies.
- Complete case management administrative tasks, including case notes, medication support, and weekly ADL checklists.
- Manage program administrative responsibilities such as shift reports, daily game plans, and general workflow support.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Resident Advisors.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, leadership meetings, and organizational initiatives.
Facility & Program Readiness
Ensure the program is “tour-ready” at all times, presenting a clean, welcoming, and organized environment for visitors, prospective residents, and community partners.
Oversee and manage supplies such as snacks, beverages, toiletries, cleaning products, and program materials, ensuring they are fully stocked and replenished as needed.
Support the admissions process by ensuring all apartments met organizational standards and were properly reset for incoming residents.
Communicate inventory needs proactively to Assistant Director of Operations ensuring timely ordering and restocking.
Oversee and manage a system for tracking supply levels, anticipating shortages, and coordinating with staff to prevent interruptions in daily operations or resident programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, mental health, or a related field.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, family-systems approaches, and recovery-oriented service models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20–40 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, or respond quickly during emergencies.
- Ability to walk multiple levels of stairs multiple times daily.
- Must be able to complete facility rounds and inspections.

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate on experience)
